Quadriaxial 600g/m² fibreglass fabric for lamination reinforcement consists of layers with parallel fibres arranged in 4 orientations, stitched with textured polyester yarn. The most commonly used quadri-axial glass blocks are oriented 0º+45º 90º-45º. The 90º layers can be placed on the outer surface or between other layers. Layers at ±45º can be placed as desired (i.e. 0º+45º 90º -45º or 0º-45º 90º+45º) It is also possible to have ±30º or ±60º on request. The longitudinal direction 0° is always the direction of the roll length and the sewing direction.
Quadriaxial glass cloths are produced in standard widths from 1270 mm to 2540 mm or can be cut into strips without the fibres breaking down. Today, the know-how developed over the years has enabled the production of a range of quadriaxial fabrics ranging from 600 g/m² to 4000 g/m². Glass cloth can be used as laminating reinforcement in combination with resins based on unsaturated polyester, epoxy, polypropylene, vinyl-ester, polyurethane.
