HOLD*BLAST™ is an active surface passivator that stops flash corrosion from forming for up to several days after use. It is economically advantageous, safe for health and easy to use. After use, it leaves no film or residue and thus does not interfere with the adhesion of subsequently applied protective coatings. Use a dilution of 1:50; depending on water quality, higher dilution ratios are possible. It is used as an additive in wet blasting or steam blasting methods.

When used with wet abrasive blasting equipment, it is recommended to start with a mixture of one litre of HOLD*BLAST™ per 50 litres of potable water. Concentrations may be lower depending on the circumstances and type of application. Do not mix with other chemicals. After thoroughly blasting the substrate and before applying the coating, the surface must be allowed to dry thoroughly. Typical "blasted surface quality retention" time is approximately 72 hours. This product leaves no chemical residue, is biodegradable, non-hazardous and is a safe and effective alternative to dangerous chemical corrosion inhibitors. Surfaces treated with HOLD*BLAST™ do not need to be rinsed again. Avoid re-wetting the treated surface. Re-moistening of the treated surface, e.g. rain, immersion, dew, condensation, will reduce the effectiveness of HOLD*BLAST™.
