Detailed description

CHLOR*RID™ removes chloride, sulfate, nitrate and other soluble salt contaminants in a simple dilution with drinking water. It is biodegradable, non-flammable and contains no volatile organic compounds. After use, it leaves no film or residue and thus does not interfere with the adhesion of subsequently applied protective coatings. CHLOR*RID™ is internationally approved as the easiest and most economical way to remove soluble salts from surfaces by any method: steam/mist blasting, high pressure washing or wet abrasive blasting. It is easy to use, poses no health risks and requires no special certifications for use in heavy industry.

Soluble salts such as chlorides, sulphates and nitrates are found on surfaces everywhere. These soluble salts draw moisture through the protective coatings and cause blistering and premature failure of the coating systems. They can also cause substrate degradation. Loss of productivity due to failure of the protective coating is costly and can be dangerous. Water blasting and abrasive blasting (wet or dry) alone are not sufficient to remove salts from most substrates.
