White corundum is mainly used as a recyclable abrasive in blasting boxes where high abrasive purity is required. Due to its low iron oxide content, it is often used in blasting applications where iron contamination is not allowed on non-ferrous metal substrates. White corundum is a very hard and sharp abrasive that quickly cleans the substrate.
White corundum grains have excellent hardness, abrasive properties and are suitable as an abrasive for surface preparation. White corundum contains at least 99.6% Al2O3, which guarantees the highest possible quality of grinding grains. Artificial white corundum is produced by melting pure aluminium oxide in induction furnaces, either "plum" or "block". After cooling, the resulting white corundum is processed and sorted to produce a very high quality raw material for the production of white artificial corundum grains.
