ALMIG is setting a new direction in the field of direct drive compressors with the completely redesigned DIRECT series. Direct drive means that the drive power of the motor is transferred directly to the screw block - without the loss that occurs when using a toothed wheel or V-belt drive. The efficiency of this drive is approximately 99.9%, which is significantly higher than conventional drives. For this reason, the DIRECT compressors deliver more sufficient air while consuming less electricity.

Thanks to its unique design, the DIRECT series operates extremely efficiently in all performance classes. This device has many uses. In combination with the screw compressors of the VARIABLE series, with variable air volume control, an unbeatable "economical duo" can be created. Both devices have an identical design, except that the VARIABLE device is equipped with a frequency converter.
